1       Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.

1.2 Apologies were received from Lynne Neagle AM.

 

2       Inquiry into medical recruitment - evidence session 3 - BMA Cymru Wales and Royal College of Physicians

2.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of BMA Cymru Wales and the Royal College of Physicians.

2.2 Dr Jones agreed to provide the Committee with a paper addressing crown indemnity and the Welsh Risk Pool.

 

3       Inquiry into medical recruitment - evidence session 4 - Royal College of General Practitioners and GP Survival

3.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of the Royal College of General Practitioners, GP Survival, and from Dr Linda Dykes.

 

4       Inquiry into medical recruitment - evidence session 5 - Professor Dean Williams

4.1 The Committee received evidence from Professor Williams.

5.1   Stage 1 scrutiny of the Public Health (Wales) Bill - Additional information from the Minister for Social Services and Public Health

5.1.a The Committee noted the letter from the Minister for Social Services and Public Health.

7.1 The Committee discussed the evidence given during items 2, 3 and 4.

 

8       Inquiry into primary care - consideration of plans for future meetings

8.1 The Committee discussed the future plans for its inquiry into primary care and agreed to visit a number of GP cluster networks, and agreed to hold stakeholders events; details to be confirmed.
